Tangled Rhythms

To write like this at 23, amazing. Having seen her perform before, Laura Marling is a stunningly beautiful singer and song writer, and judging from her latest offering “Master Hunter” from her fourth album “Once I Was An Eagle”, she is only getting better.

Quoting Joni Mitchell as being one of her biggest influences, along with the phrasing of Bob Dylan and the “growling” of Neil Young.

Tangled up in Blue is probably one of my favourite Bob Dylan songs and the rhythms can definitely be heard here. Beautifully inspired and I cannot wait to hear more.

Catch her on Programme 3 of Other Voices  (Wednesday 22nd May) – 10.55pm
